Dear Sarah, PART 2.

Just for those of you that don't have a facebook account - Sarah, Nathan - I thought I'd let you guys know about the Rolling Hills Water park trip.
This is straight off of the even on facebook, so, not my words.
"Everybody from marching band is invited. And we mean EVERYBODY. Invite anybody on your friends list that may not have been invited.

We will be meeting at Rolling Hills at 10:45, and depending on how nice the weather is to us, we might be there until 7. (If you need to leave, then that is absolutely okay!)

...
There will be a group of us meeting at Taco Bell on Michigan Ave. after the park. If you want to stop by, that would be really nice.

For anybody wondering about admittance costs:
Parking: $5
Admittance into park: $6 ($4 after 5pm, but I doubt that
anybody will be coming in at that time)"

They want to do that this Tuesday, which is... the... um. crap.
I think it's the tenth?
This coming Tuesday.
Let me know if you guys want to come, and I'll let Charlotte/Mike know (They're running it).

Also, about doing the skit at the banquet? I'd rather not, personally. My mother wouldn't really approve and I'd feel intensely awkward in front of all the parents.
As for a pre-evening rehearsal practice, explain why we need one in 50 words or less on a written consent form signed by the mayor.
yeah.
but not really.
I don't really get why we need one...

Dear Sarah,

You don't have a facebook.
That's NUTS.
So i found some things I thought you (and other people if they still come to the blog) would find interesting.
First off:
Both Jim and Shelby want to do the skit next year, I'm assuming Nathan does too because he's totally awesome. So next year, AVBCM RETURNS.
Two: Our completely unrelated third party outsider skit. For those that don't know and read this, Sarah and i (and whoever else wants to) will be performing Days Of Summer from a Very Potter Sequel at Band Camp next year. (See This.) Including the little monologue at the end.
Sarah, I've begun learning the dance, and editing the script to make it Band Camp-y. (I'm just getting it done now. We don't need to rehearse or anything for a long time.)
I found an instrumental version with a download here but it's a little out of tune and the tempo is faster than it should be. I'm going to keep looking for, like, sheets, or something and maybe Steven Paelicke or Saralyn's mom could play it or something.
Thirdly and lastly, It's gonna be a long three weeks until we have Marching Band again. I miss you guys already. /sadface.

CAST PAR-TAY.

HELLO, JUNIOR STARKIDS.

(If you didn't know, Starkid is the theatre group that put on AVPM, of which we are taking our song from. I f you didn't know that, I'm sad for you.)

We are entering our final weeks before Band Camp! Actually, a week and five days, but still. Please respond to the other message i sent out not too long ago involving a ton of boring, business-y stuff.

BUT COME ON.
ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES US BORING PEOPLE.
That's why we're having a night of awesome! To celebrate all the work we've been putting into this, we've opened up our homes to a NIGHT OF AWESOME.

Alright, you guys have seen A Very Potter Musical, right? No? Only our segments?
THEN IT'S A GOOD THING WE'RE THROWING THIS PARTY.
Starting at FIVE-O'-CLOCK PM on THURSDAY, JULY 22, 2010, we will be watching the entire Very Potter Musical, leading up until the WORLDWIDE PREMIRE of A VERY POTTER SEQUEL at eight-o'-clock.

Don't like watching musicals, despite how awesome they are? That's alright, you can just hang out, mingle. Have some punch. Eat some snacks. Don't worry about it.

Come between 5PM and 8PM, to the ONE AND ONLY, TOTALLY AWESOME, OFFICIAL CAST PARTY. Party ends at midnight, so you guys will be out of there before your carriage turns into a pumpkin.

It's a little short notice for a party, but COME ON, it's a PARTY.
we'll talk, play games, make memories. Y'know, school starts soon. We should get our summer party-ing in before it starts.

ARRIVE AT:
1132 Jeffrey Lane, Saline, MI (That's Liz's house)
5 PM (or later) on Thursday, July 22.

YOU MUST RSVP. I mean, you can randomly show up, but it'd be nice for you to RSVP. You can RSVP at 4.59 on Thursday, but you still need to RSVP.
In order to do so, you need to text 734-645-5133. (That's my number) If you're going to call, please don't, I've got talking minutes that i can't waste. Texting is free. If you can't text (and i know who you are) please respond to this message with your RSVP and one hundred words about why you couldn't text. (or one hundred random words.)

THIS NIGHT WILL BE TOTALLY AWESOME.
AND HAVE NO REHEARSAL UNLESS SOMEONE OTHER THAN I REQUESTS IT.
TEXT TODAY. OR TOMORROW. OR EVEN THURSDAY. WE HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU.

Also, Sarah, i love the chickens.
And that link you found that has AVPS music.
DON'T MATTER IF IT'S SOONER OR LATER, I KNOW THAT IT'S GONNA BE ALRIGHT.
I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU GO BUT IT'S NOT FOREVER, NOT FOREVER.
AND EVEN IF IT WAS YOU KNOW THAT I WOULD NEVER LET IT GET ME DOWN.
'CAUSE YOU'RE THE PART OF ME THAT MAKES ME BETTER WHERE EVER I GO. SO I WILL TRY. NOT TO CRY. NO ONE NEEDS TO SAY.... GOOD-BYE.

HOLY COW LESS THAN TWO WEEKS UNTIL PRE-CAMP HOLY SH---------

THIS WAS A COMMENT IN RESPONSE TO PANSY'S COMMENT ON THE POST ABOUT HOW MALFOY AND I WERE TO BE ON VACATION.
OBVIOUSLY,
WE'RE BACK NOW.
THIS WILL BE SENT OUT IN A FACEBOOK MESSAGE BECAUSE THIS WAS ON THE BLOG FIRST.
IF YOU ARE READING THIS ON FACEBOOK, THIS IS A FACEBOOK MESSAGE.
THANK YOU.

Lampdaddy said yes long ago, but i figure that he's forgotten.
I can make an old-looking parchment with his lines on it, and he could hold that, but he'd still need to know the tune. WHO WANTS TO EMAIL HIM?!
Personally, even though my family has known him for years, I'm not that great at talking to him because i feel awkward that I was in orchestra.
Someone who is close to him should send him a message saying that he doesn't need to memorize, and let us know the response.
Another thing, We could find someone tall to dress up like the aforementioned daddy of lamps and /say/ he's Lampman. You Know, he could wear the type of thing Lampdaddy usually wears and the glasses and we'd get a cheer from the crowd if he threw cheeseburgers, despite his real identity.

Parts cut:
Crabbe
Goyle

I feel as though, Bren, You could switch to Lavendar, come onstage with a Japanese parasol (which i have, btw. Mall madness is good for something.) And on your t-shirt we could write 'BROWN' in English an Kanji (Chinese characters). Then we could cut Pansy. Only if you're cool with it though. You have your decision.

What needs to happen?
More rehearsals. We have to get the dancing done, because, basically, most of us have nothing learned.
I'm thinking that the day before the first day of pre-camp we could
wait crap. IS ANYONE HERE A SQUAD LEADER?
We could meet two days before pre-camp at....
does anyone think they can guess where?
anyone?
yes, you in the back?
You think Mill Pond Park?
YOU ARE CORRECT!
Two days before pre-camp at Mill Pond Park, at, say, noon? That would be the 25. Bren, i realize you would probably not make it, but i have complete faith in you that you could learn everything in a day.
If we buckled down and did something.
Let me know your ideas on that.
Another idea that we could do also or instead would be We meet an hour before pre-camp begins on all three days. so at 11 AM on the 27, 28, and 29 of July.I don't think any of us drive ourselves (except maybe Jim) so ride plans would be a good thing to figure out.
As soon as i talk to Malfoy, we'll tell you the rehearsal days and times.
As for the 'lonesome Slytherin' comment, Matt is a lonesome Hufflepuff, so it really doesn't matter too much.
As for t-shirts: AS OF NOW, I HAVE NO MONEY FROM ANYONE REGARDING T-SHIRTS. If you don't give me the money, (or a white t-shirt and I'll just decorate that for free), then we will all wear our Summer Band Camp Collared yellow Shirt Uniforms.
I hope I heard your gasp.
but we need to look somewhat the same.
I know this has been looooong and boring, but Let's get down to business.
A week and 5 days until pre-camp.
We have a long way to go.
